Recovery of 128 m long structural steel truss that collapsed during bridge launching operation in early 2011.
Strengthening design of the bridge in accordance with design specifications provided by the Client. The bridge was recovered, repaired and launched in its final position from May until July 2013.
Strengthening works were ongoing at the time when this post is published. The scope covered design and engineering of recovery operation including preparation of recovery procedures, method statements and site supervision, as well as design and engineering of temporary works for bridge repair and replacement of damaged members.
